CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN SPRING 2023
This addition to a historical home joins the modern and the traditional. A respectful addition is built off of the back and wraps around to the left and right of the main facade. This allows the building to retain its historical character on the street side, while vastly increasing the sqaurefootage and quality of space in the new add ons. All the bedoroms are concentrated on the second floor. The children’s bedrooms in the old part of the house and the master sweet in the addition. A rooftop balcony is accessible from the bedrooms and gives a generous space for gardening and bathing in the sun. On the ground floor, the kitchen occupies the south west corner and wraps around towards the front, which allows views towards both the pool in the back and the side yard where the children love to play. The kitchen has a large island that faces the sliding glass doors which open onto the covered deck beyond. To the side of this, the kitchen continues to a closed in pantry at the back. Above this, a skylight lets in natural light and gives the kitchen a glowing light feeling. Furthermore, a new extension of the basement drastically increased the livable area of the house and was designed to be converted into a private suite for when the children grow up.
